What causes age spots?
Age spots are caused by the production of melanin in the skin, due to sun exposure. Our laser can remove most lesions effectively.
What are the benefits?
Laser brown spots removal works immediately by vaporizing the brown spot and social downtime is limited. The alternative of prescription skin bleaching creams, RetinA, and vitamin C serums, in conjunction with the daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen, usually require 9 – 18 months to completely fade brown spots.
How many treatments do you need?
A single treatment completely removes the pigmented blemish. We ask our clients to return 4 – 6 weeks after the treatment for a free follow up exam to ensure that no residual pigment remains.
Thing you should know.
This procedure does not prevent new brown spots forming, even in the treated area. Melanocytes are a normal component of the skin and new grouping of melanocytes may form at any time in response to sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (minimum 30 SPF) every day.
How much time is requires?
Appointments are normally 15 – 30 minutes but may be longer for large numbers of brown spots.
How much does it cost?
Staring at $50 or $50 per 5 minutes of laser pulses. For an ideal candidate, this normally allows the removal of circular brown spot (7 inches- size of a pea) in diameter or several brown spots that, taken together are about the size.
Lighter colored brown spots may require more laser pulses to produce the same results because the lighter color absorbs less laser energy.
